Thanksgiving was a lovely affair. It was a new twist on graduate student thanksgiving of old--as I'm the only one still in grad school--it felt like family (same same but different, if you will).
I have been driving between the valley and the high desert every week, some clear days, some not, but I've always wished I had the good camera with me (and the patience with myself to stop). The sunrise photos that Joe captured on the way to Thanksgiving are unreal:

We also took advantage of the weekend off and Thanksgiving again in a way--turkey sandwiches and a hike in the old growth:

It was a really fabulous few days--a nice relaxed way to see close friends who I won't be seeing for awhile...
